Ashridge Estate is a 5000 acre estate running across the borders of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, along the main ridge of the Chiltern Hills, open to the public for free. It is a fantastic place for family cycling, with a variety of routes on quiet roads, tracks and bridleways through beautiful scenery.
The woods resounded with the excited woofs of Labs and similar canines who were just out of their respective cars. They were still on leash. Some reminiscences of Autumn, among the dry and fallen leaves; more of Winter, on the mistygreens were seen in the woods. Afternoon temperature of about 2.5deg C was indeed pleasant. Trees longing to burst their buds open to the approaching Spring demanded some serious attention. Breeze held its breath for a moment… then some more.
Woofs echoed somewhere deep within the woods by the time the lens had finished admiring the buds.
