Event: 1st Bahraini Female Artists Exhibition 2011
Longings, desires, frustrations, anger, suffering, hope…
of the ordinary, simple or sophisticated.
some choose to write; and our hearts tremble with their words.
some sing; and we hear their voice quiver.
a misnote here, a discord there.
few others…
they paint. about people. leaving us with an enigma,
a strange mystery that opens up a new world…
expressions of life or in one word… Art.
Canvas or the silver-bromide coated cellulose acetate or just silica.
material.
immaterial.
vents of expressions. that is all.
how naive would be the one who attempts to judge slash
criticise a piece of art.
Any piece of art.
As to do so would be to insult the aspirations
of the artist.
For a piece of art
is more than a piece of suffering,
anger, hope, frustration, desire or just…
a deep longing.
