I owned one of these when I was innocent enough to not realise how damaging the imagery of Barbie is on girls. It sits neglected in a corner, a reminder of what even seemingly innocent toys can subconsciously instill in little children.
Though I have now come to despise the subject, the photograph is amazing.
I agree with you. Still life intrigued me a few years back before turning to street photography. The doll (object) tells a story of someone’s life… more ragged, the better.
