Pushing the ISO settings to the limits can get your DSLR stretched itself to capture low-light images. Better way to achieve the results is to use a tripod. Even an ISO setting of 200 can produce better images with a tripod; less noise is one immediately obvious result. A new parameter also comes into picture with DSLRs: White balance. Unheard of during the film days, or era, shall I say?
